City Council meets the first Monday of each month (if the first Monday is a holiday the meeting will be the second Monday) at 7 p.m. at the meeting room in the Fire Hall.

City services
Garbage pickup is every Tuesday morning. Recycled items are picked up the first Tuesday of each month. Water/sewer/garbage is billed monthly.
Police Protection is provided by the Douglas County Sheriff's Department.
Fire Protection and First Responder Medical Service is provided by the Kensington Fire and Rescue Department.

Farwell-Kensington Sewer District
A legal entity which was formed to develop wastewater and eventually water facilities for the two cities.
The Sewer Board consists of Courtney Smith, chairman--Jeanne Stamness, Secretary/Treasurer and Board members Bob Olson, Al Halvorson, Todd Eystad and Joe Nessman.
